Step into a world where aviation meets idyllic domesticity with our stunning wall art, a snapshot of history captured by the lens of Slim Aarons. Dubbed “Flying Beetle,” this piece immortalizes a moment in time featuring Thomas Watson Jr., the guiding hand behind IBM and son of its founder, along with his wife Olive. There they are, posing with their bi-plane, a symbol of unbridled ambition and freedom, set against the backdrop of their verdant Maine garden in the summer of 1992.

Elevate the atmosphere of your living space with this extraordinary image, which embodies the essence of an era where technological innovation and personal dreams coexisted in harmonious splendor. Whether you hang it in your study to inspire your next big idea or in the living room to spark conversations, this art piece is more than a mere decoration—it’s an ethos captured on canvas.

A spellbinding blend of history, personality, and aesthetic appeal, “Flying Beetle” serves as a visual narrative that speaks volumes. It is a conversation starter, a pause for reflection, and a tribute to the audacity of human aspiration all rolled into one.

Enhancing your home with “Flying Beetle” is not just an aesthetic choice; it’s an ode to the relentless pursuit of excellence. Let this artwork be the wings on which your imagination takes flight, right within the four walls of your sanctuary.

Prints are listed in cm and inches - what will be the size of my print?
We produce prints in both metric (centimetres) and imperial (inches) sizes.
The sizing system being used depends on the product type and the country in which your order is being sent to.
In most cases there are only a few millimetres difference between the metric and imperial conversions.

How does the border affect the size of the print?
The total size of the print will always be the size that you select.
The border if chosen is internal and slightly reduces the image area.

Which paper do you recommend?
Generally Photo Lustre (Semi Gloss) is recommended for most purposes as it is the middle ground between Matte & Gloss. So the colours will still be vibrant, with a lot less glare.
