Step into a world where nostalgia marries sophistication, all captured through the lens of the iconic Slim Aarons. “Commander Whitehead” is more than a simple photograph; it’s a time capsule that immortalizes the charisma of Edward Whitehead, the public face of Schweppes, leaning suavely against a silver Rolls Royce at Lyford Cay in 1974. With an illustrious past in the British Navy during World War II, Commander Whitehead later navigated the seas of advertising with the same flair and aplomb, making this snapshot a celebration of a multi-faceted life.

Imagine this Slim Aarons masterpiece gracing your living room wall, instantly elevating its ambience with a touch of retro elegance and adventurous spirit. The casual opulence captured in the photograph not only serves as a talking point but also as a daily inspiration to live life with a dash of daring and a sprinkle of class.

Why should “Commander Whitehead” find a home on your wall? Because it’s more than art; it’s a lifestyle encapsulated in a moment, captured by none other than Slim Aarons himself. This piece doesn’t just decorate; it narrates, it inspires, it transports you to a time where charm and chic were the orders of the day.

So don’t just hang a picture, let Slim Aarons introduce you to a character who lived life as grandly as the Rolls Royce he leans on. Invite “Commander Whitehead” into your home and let the walls whisper tales of glamour, adventure, and the epitome of cool.

Prints are listed in cm and inches - what will be the size of my print?
We produce prints in both metric (centimetres) and imperial (inches) sizes.
The sizing system being used depends on the product type and the country in which your order is being sent to.
In most cases there are only a few millimetres difference between the metric and imperial conversions.

How does the border affect the size of the print?
The total size of the print will always be the size that you select.
The border if chosen is internal and slightly reduces the image area.

Which paper do you recommend?
Generally Photo Lustre (Semi Gloss) is recommended for most purposes as it is the middle ground between Matte & Gloss. So the colours will still be vibrant, with a lot less glare.
